It’s not a bang, it’s a whisper
We all have it: that feeling that calms our insides and gives direction to our lives, like a self-gravitational compass. That’s intuition.
Intuition is a self-growing seed, a calming wave in the sea of your thoughts. It is not like the movies where it hits you and you know the meaning of life, it is a whisper in the middle of dinner that quietly calls you through dessert. It is not your ego: they both have voices but intuition is more subtle, gentle, assertive but kind, like a river.
Life is so busy, people are so influential, tv is so loud sometimes you can’t hear it. But make time to listen to it; that’s how our ancestors survived and created beautiful things, it’s how a poet knows a period is better than a coma and it’s how love finds you.
Let it flow let it fly let it free you.
This poem by Corinne K captures its essence.
You Already Know
No matter how many times
they try to
and entice you
into believing they know better
about what’s best
than you do.
you already know.
And when it seems as if
has a plan for you –
a future vision
that’s not what you had in mind
feed your soul
excite your being
or send shivers of exquisite anticipation down your spine.
you already know.
And even when it aches to let go
as if you owe them something
as if you aren’t entitled to happiness
as if you can’t stomach the hurt
as if you aren’t strong enough
and complete enough within yourself.
You already know.
